As a member of CECED, the European trade association for the domestic appliances industry, AMDEA is in a unique position to influence and represent the industry at both UK and EU-level.
Increasing legislation on product design, environmental impact of products, energy consumption, product safety pre- and post-market and consumer protection means the industry needs to be kept informed of all these developments and provide input to legislators.
AMDEA protects and promotes its members' interests in all these fields including in standards formulation such as BSI in the UK, CENELEC in Europe and IEC internationally.
At every stage of the development, manufacture, marketing, after-sales service and ultimate disposal and recycling of the product, AMDEA is involved – from Cradle to Grave.
AMDEA Structure
The AMDEA board steers the Association and is supported by two pillars: the Commercial Committee and the Technical Committee.
