On the eve of the General Election on July 3 AMDEA hosted its 2024 Summer Reception at Prince Philip House in London. Despite the unseasonably gloomy weather some 80 guests attended including representatives from the civil service, allied trade associations, trade press, academia, retailers, standards bodies, testing laboratories, national and international sustainability NGOs and many more, and of course AMDEA members.
AMDEA Chair, Teresa Arbuckle, who is Vice President Beko Europe, welcomed our guests and thanked them for coming to our informal networking reception, saying that AMDEA is grateful to be working with so many excellent organisations that support our goals of delivering sustainable, advanced, safe and affordable domestic appliances to UK consumers.
AMDEA CEO Paul Hide said ‘It was a brilliant evening, nothing beats face-to-face networking. It was great to see so many of our friends and members in one place, I think a lot of people came away with new ideas, insights and connections. There was a real buzz and one measure of the success of the event was that so many guests stayed well beyond the stated end time of the event!’
