This year’s TRIC Awards will take place on July 6, at London’s Grosvenor House on Park Lane.
Presenting the event will be the newly appointed TRIC president, Alex Jones, who has co-hosted The One Show for over 11 years (pictured).
TRIC (The Television and Radio Industries Club) will be celebrating 53 years of the TRIC Awards, and recognising the very best TV, radio and online shows, as well as Britain’s superstars and talent.
As a not-for-profit organisation, every year TRIC choses two new charities to support – this year it will be the Alzheimer’s Society and Save the Children.
The awards will be presented in front of a live in-person audience of over 1,000 guests, and will also be streamed, for fans to tune in and to watch all the action on a livestream or on-demand, hosted across streaming platform, ScreenHits TV.
The voting list for the TRIC Awards 2022 is now live across social media and on the TRIC website www.tric.org.uk.
Voting will be live for six weeks and the public and industry can choose their most loved shows and stars from the world of comedy, drama, reality TV, factual, radio, news and sport across online, TV and radio.
Changes have been afoot at TRIC HQ, with TRIC chair Jane Ostler’s two-year term now coming to an end, Daniel Todaro, CEO of Gekko, has stepped up to take the reins.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Todaro (TRIC chair) said: “I’m delighted to take over from the excellent leadership of Jane Ostler – she led the Club excellently through quite possibly the most difficult times our organisation will experience.
“My appointment is to build on this and enable a new chapter for the Club. My goal is to lead TRIC into new and exciting sectors, strengthening our relationships with supportive partners such as Sky, Sony, Roberts, Samsung and GB News to name but a few, and attract new complementary industry brands that value aligning themselves with TRIC to support good causes.”
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are now available. To enquire about availability and pricing, please get in touch with TRIC director, Alexia Sciplino, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
